Director: Jose Padilha

Year released:2014

Main cast: Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton

Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Thriller

Description: In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer

My view for Robocop is that its content are very interesting e.g how Robocop solve case on his own death, how he fight against many robot and etc. This kind of content attract young teens. However the movie does not have a good ending as they did not clearly stated what happened to Raymond Sellar and OmniCorp. They only say that Omnicorp repeal fail. Worst of all, the movie ended with the host cursing. Although they censored the vulgar part, but it still leave a bad impression.

What I like best is Joel Kinnaman (Alex Murphy) acting. It feel so realistic that my eyes are glued to him. Watching Alex fighting for justice reminded me of Batman, the black knight. They have slight resemble where Alex rode his bike to the crime scene.

I will recommend this movie to everyone who love action movie as it have amazing fighting scene. If you doubt my word, feel free to watch the trailer at the bottom.

Feel free to give feedback (Only on movie and not my English)

The second installment of the Planet of the Apes series certainly did not disappoint. Reminiscing back to when i watched the first installment, the Rise, I was definitely expecting the Dawn to be jam packed with action and excitement. The story line did come as a surprise to me as I had not read any synopsis or reviews nor did I see the trailer. Basically, I subconsciously expected something slightly different that what actually happened. Back to the review, despite the movie having a few forgettable scenes, it was all building up to a mind-blowing and explosive ending and one hell of a cliffhanger. One which left me with mixed feelings over its cause. This movie has its fair share of twists and turns as well as the times I was able to expect what was going to happen next. I found myself being able to predict several occurrences during the course of the movie about at least 4 times whilst still managing to get surprised from time to time. Well, there would never be a good movie without at least a few clichés.

The contribution by Andy Serkis was incredible. His portrayal of Caesar was once again outstanding and he just stands out amongst other apes in the film. Similarly to the first film, I felt that the human counterparts in the film were just not compelling enough to be well remembered apart from Jason Clarke and Gary Oldman.

Apart from the story and moving on to the movie’s technical aspect, i feel that the CGI is good, but not perfect. It had its flaws and the appearances of the apes in broad daylight were just a little too sharp and hence, I was slightly disappointed by that.

All in all, a great film which had obvious flaws for people who scrutinized, but can’t help but love that ending and look forward to what is most likely the final installment of the Planet of the Apes.
